Organic Trail Coaching by Kate Shumeyko
I am an ultra trail runner: My most favorite place to be is running through gnarly trails and pushing my body to unknown levels and limits. Having run countless races including 17 road marathons, I have found that trail running fills a void and gives me peace, humility, and leaves me with gratitude and joy. I have experience coaching youth track and field, adults from beginner 5K to half marathon distances, and different levels of trail running. I am currently a sponsored athlete through Powerbar Sport and continue to push personal boundaries as I add onto my ultra racing repertoire. My most recent accomplishments include winning the 2019 Shawangunk Ridge Trail 30 Mile women's race and completing my first 100 Miler (which actually totaled approximately 106 miles when completed).
Being a trail runner, you are forced to be present and focused, and you learn to let go of pressure. No matter what the distance, everyone has something to gain from being close to nature and from letting go of expectations. Trail running is pure, raw, exhilarating, and I love to share this organic adventure with others. Let me help you find the joy of the trail experience!
